Although the procedure is safe and suits most people, there are cases when it should be postponed or avoided.
🔴 Absolute contraindications:
❌ Conjunctivitis and other eye conditions (stye, blepharitis, keratitis) – should not be done during active infection.
❌ High eye sensitivity – if you have excessive tearing or a tendency to allergic reactions.
❌ Eye area injuries, recent surgeries, or scars – if the skin hasn’t fully healed.
❌ Fungal or viral infections of the eyes and eyelids.
⚠ Relative contraindications (it’s best to postpone the procedure or consult a doctor):
🔸 Pregnancy and breastfeeding – hormonal changes may affect the result, making it weaker or less stable.
🔸 Acute respiratory infections (flu, cold) – best to wait until full recovery.
🔸 Hormonal imbalances – can affect the longevity of the effect.
🔸 Recent eyelid tattooing – wait until the skin is fully healed.
